Field Excursions

The mid-conference excursion will be to the strictly protected area of the Białowieża National Park.

Every morning participants can explore the nearby forest and river valley individually for birdwatching. More details soon!

Post-Conference Excursion

Biebrza National Park (March 20-22)

Price: PLN 650 includes bus transport, guide, accommodation (two nights), meals.

 

Three-day bus excursion to the Biebrza National Park. Each day, participants will have a few hours to walk in interesting places and hiking trails of the Biebrza Valley. Although March weather is difficult to predict, there should be huge flocks of migrating geese and other birds. In nearby forests, you will be able to observe local woodpeckers.

Day 1 (Wednesday, 20 March):

Travel from Białowieża to the Biebrza National Park, exploring the Middle Basin of Biebrza Valley.

Day 2 (Thursday, 21 March):

Travel to the Czerwone Bagno reserve, exploring the Upper Basin of Biebrza Valley.

Day 3 (Friday, 22 March):

Transport by bus to Bagno Wizna (Lower Basin) where we hope to observe migrating birds and moose. In the afternoon, participants will be taken to Warsaw where the excursion ends.
